Welcome to Virago Classics
Celebrating the classic 81-83
Virago / TR1
and the many other bikes that
helped create the XV series of bikes.
From traditional chopper to full race mode the Virago is right at home.

In October 1993 Giles' replica built with the help of Witlock
was reviewed and approved for flight by the FAA.
His Virago 1100 is the first V-Twin engine approved for
flight. In addition, Butch Witlock also equipped his Nieuport-12 with a
Virago.
And this plane flies with an acrobatic squadron.
[Q: I seen a HD in a ultra-light?
A: They don't need FAA approval or a license
to pilot. ]
Did you know the Virago and
the Maxim
were both off shoot bikes of
the XS series.
Sharing many similar parts.
There was also a bike called
the Vision back then that had many parts the Virago and other bikes didn't
see till the mid to late 80s.
Hence the name Vision.
My 82 Virago XV750 has the complete
front end and brake hardware off an 83 Midnight Maxim.
One of the best mods ever for
ride and handling. All the trike and sidecar / hack guys do it.
An easy swap with better brakes
to boot.
